Read Between The Lines.

Sometimes it only takes a few words to say a hell of a lot.  Read Between the Lines totally gets that.  So I won't waffle on.

While their prints are perfection in themselves, it is the stationary and cards by Read Between the Lines that really gets me.  They have printed words in lines as a way of a watermark that the writer must literally write in between.  It's just pure brilliance.

Etsy Monday: Rabbit & The Duck.

As the school year begins for many, my jealousy of being able to go on a full-on school supplies spree ranks pretty damn high.  It may not be that I am nerding out over finding the perfect 5-subject notebook that will keep me super organized (for the first week...we all know it's downhill from there) but maybe just a reminder of how much I love friggin' cute stationary and such.  In a world full of IKEA hacks and creating a special personal touch, there is something to be said about getting your adult-shaped craft on.  And no one knows this better (and helps us all find our way) than Shannon from the ADORABLE Rabbit & The Duck.  I mean, her shop's motto is 'create a lovely life'.  Thank you, don't mind if I do.

Rabbit & The Duck takes the cute and makes it cuter.  Like, impossibly cute.  Like, 'I'm sorry but could you get cuter if you tried?' 'No, I could not'.  The shop is filled with a little bit of home decor...a little bit of fashion...and a whole lot of things to help you get creative and make basically the best care packages/favors/whatever you want the best ever.  Especially washi tape, the most badass member of the masking tape family.  I MEAN LOOK AT THE AIRMAIL KIT BELOW AND TELL ME YOUR BRAIN DIDN'T COMPLETELY MELT WITH JOY AND THE DESIRE TO HAVE A NOTE LIKE THAT ARRIVE AT YOUR DOOR.  I would also like to discuss with Shannon how she might be able to sneak in to my apartment while I am at work and make my bed look like the one below.  Just. So. Cute.

For the next week, Thrill of the Chaise readers will be able to enjoy an amazing 20% off their purchases at Rabbit & The Duck!  Just use the discount code 'THRILL20' when you check out. Maybe stock up on washi tape.  I want to washi tape everything.  Seriously.  World, look out.

Think & Ink Studios.

OHMYGOSHSOCUTE.  That was my first reaction when I came across Think & Ink Studios.  Long story short...I have a new job and my desk is really sad.  Aside from some very sweet 30th birthday decorations I earned from my coworkers, there is nothing else on my desk except a computer and a box of brownies that was sent to me.  But brownies do not a powerhouse desk make.  And the answer to my office decor prayers is now Think & Ink Studios.  OHMYGOSHSOCUTE.

Now, it doesn't just stop at cute mouse pads...Think & Ink is all about sweet paper goods and sundries.  'Because we believe that some of the best things come in the form of a handwritten note, our paper goods will make your everyday a better day.'  Thank you and don't ever change.  Almost every social media profile I have ever had to fill out includes my adoration of handwritten notes.  Remember that.  Embrace it.  And get mailing.  Simplicity in style and color do all the talking when it comes to the work of Think & Ink.  Well, not ALL the talking because there are some very sweet one liners in their stationary but, again, simple and just perfect.

Calligraphuck. Beautiful Bad Language.

Hello, my name is Kate.  And I love a good bit of cursing. I also love snail mail and appreciate a well-written note.  So thank you, Calligraphuck, for creating 'fine letterpress cards for all sweary occasions'.  In my humble opinion, many occasions would be far more enjoyable if they were a bit more sweary.  A well-placed curse word, if you want to admit it or not, can turn many a frown upside down, so get yourself hooked up with some of this badass stationary and write some damn notes.  F**king NOW.

Pearl Lowe Stationary...sighhhh :)

I love the Lowes.  Daisy has been on this blog before as one of my 'style icons' and she very obviously picks up a lot from her momma, Pearl.  The whole family has this perfect mix of romance and rock & roll in everything they do.  So it is obvious that Pearl's new stationary line holds true to this identity.

The stationary collection is being sold on a cutie face website called Not On The High Street, so make sure to check it out!

Until very recently, my stationary has been a lovely white flat card with a red electric guitar in the top left corner from Cranes.  Huge sad face now that I cannot find it on their website.

My Favourite Flower: Peony

I love peonies.  They are my absolute favourite.  There is something about how imperfect, delicate and romantically quirky these flowers are that makes me adore them. My excitement every year when I see the first peonies at the flower stand is nearly uncontrollable.  It means that the beautiful spring and summer weather has finally arrived and I can decorate my flat with them for the next few months.  Very popular in Chinese art, it is known as the flower of 'riches and honour'.  I like them because they are everything my least favourite flower, the rose, is not...messy looking with not a care in the world  :)

So check out how you can work peonies into your everyday life:

When in doubt, a peony in a bud vase is a fail-safe and gorgeous option  :)  Happy Peony Season, everyone!
