As it turns out, keeping up with Fashion Month can be a bit of a challenge when you have a full-time job...or rather, managing a blog during Fashion Month can be a challenge. But, for my third season, I was lucky enough to get to help out my lovely Ruffian boys for their show at Lincoln Center. And I have to admit that it was my favorite show of theirs to date!
With a sensibility that always perfectly references a mix of classic French chic and the cool English schoolgirl, this collection was inspired by 1950s Saint-Tropez and hit all the right notes. Throwback prints paired with biker jackets was the perfect mix of old and new. Classic pastels played against the modern, bright (Birchbox) manicures. The guys really struck an amazing balance of cool and classic from head to toe and I want to live in the Ruffian world they created this season. (Did I mention how badass the runway music was?! Check out the video of the test walk to hear a killer bit of Pink Floyd.)
Want to get the Ruffian manicure straight off the runway? Well, they have made it possible! Check out their collection with Birchbox here and follow along with their manicure tutorial. I gotta say...I'm currently rocking Hedge Fund and digging it HARD.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the collection. I've written a note to all of them to ask if they want to move into my closet. See the entire collection here.
