Christmas is coming up and I have to admit, for someone who is always pretty full-on and excitable about getting gifts for the people I love, I'm at a bit of a loss for ideas at the moment. There are a few factors including not really having time to explore as much as I would like (leisure time is not something that comes easy as a student on my program), living on loans and knowing that when living in London you can bring home almost anything and it will be charming. I don't have that default this year so I gotta get creative. While I have been scouring shops and the world wide web for inspiration, it has become quite apparent that another one of my problems is that I am shopping for myself. Whoops. But listen...it seems as though there is an influx of amaaaaazing fashion books that are hitting the shelves that anyone with any kind of interest in this industry and art form would adore.
In other news, one of my gorgeous friends in London gave me the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty book for my birthday before I moved back to the States and it's bloody brilliant. A fantastic gift for anyone who has an interest in McQueen or saw the exhibit at the Met. And even better news is that the 9 massive boxes of all my personal belongings have finally landed in Connecticut which means in a few days I will get that book back into my adorably small hands :)
