Sunday: A Day of Cocktails

Let me start off by saying that I started the yesterday with full intent to go to Battersea Car Boot Sale on the hunt for some good vintage and then go home and get some odds and ends checked off my 'to do' list.  I got half of this right.  The car boot sale was interesting but overwhelming.  And I just wasn't in the right place to rummage.  Purpose officially defeated. On the walk back to the train station, my friend Christine and I were pulled by some sort of cosmic force into a lovely little pub called The Lost Angel.  And in their garden I sat for the next 4.5 hours.

I was already in love with the place when we walked in.  The decor is amaaaazing.  A hodge podge of everything I love.  For example, a British telephone booth decorated inside with branches and a pink skull; chandeliers made of trumpets; a leather sofa in the ladies room.  Not to mention that on Sundays, all cocktails are 4.50 a pop.  And their cocktail list goes on for days.  What I learned was that Christine likes berry-based drinks and I'll drink just about anything if you throw some basil in it.  Hmmm...

So I want to encourage you to pay this place a visit.  Hopefully it is a nice day and you can sit in the garden and take part in the BBQ on offer.  I also want to share with you the 'cocktail tour' we took:
