When Gap TV commercials ruled the world...

I recently was asked to write a paper on a fashion marketing campaign (new or old) that I found to be successful and in my research, I found myself watching all the Gap TV commercials of days gone by and reminiscing (while also being totally blown away) about how incredible and effective they always were for their time. Who thought that a bunch of models sitting on nothing but a white background singing would make me want to buy a puffy vest?  Or that a throwback to West Side Story would have me purchasing (ok, my mom purchasing FOR me) an aquamarine matching jean jacket and cropped trousers?  TOTALLY GENIUS.  Or at least seriously entertaining.

So here you go, you can re-live the good old days with me  :)
